Update on Gas X Deal

After posting my shopping trip I came across a facebook posting talking about Gas X coupon

there is a possibility to get overage at Wal-mart if it is $1.98 a box meaning $4.06 in overage WYB 3; however, don't count on it because the coupon does say no overage, I wish I would have known because I would have at least tried it, I thinking it MIGHT have worked for overage! Try at your own risk!

My CVS shopping trip 10/14/13

I just LOVE, LOVE,LOVE CVS, it can't much better than getting a FREE $5EBCs for buying $50 worth of beauty (honestly I maybe spend $10 on makeup with coupons and EBCs) and another FREE $1 from my quarter 1% earn back.

So this is what bought today
4 - 9oz Suave Mousse $2 Used 4, $1.50/1 in 9/29RP
2 - 10 count of Breath Right Xtra Strips$3.99, Used 2, $1.50/1 in 10/13RP in $4 EBCs ($2 EBC each)
2 - 10 count Advil Congestion Relief $4.95, Used 2, $3/1 in 10/13RP with a $3 EBCs
Also used an emailed CVS coupon $5 off of $25

Per-coupon and sale would have been $43.52 post sale and coupon $5.88 and used $5 of EBC meaning all this cost me pre-tax $.88 with $7 back in EBCs (meaning they really paid me!)

My Wal-mart trip for 10/14/13

Here is what bought today at Wal-mart, mind you I bought these things in Lima, Ohio before leaving with a visit with my father-in-law; however, the price should be available here in Chicago, Illinois as well let me know if they are not.

2 10+2 ct Schick basic disposable razors, $1.97. Use 10/6S, $3.00/1 meant $1.03 overage each (total overage was $2.06)

With the $3.92 overage I bought
1 Enfamil Tri-Vi-Sol vitamins for infants $2 (on clearance from $8.97)
1 Soothie $3.74

Total pre-tax out of pocket was $1.82 for $22.29 (an 82% saving)

If you have not heard, Dominick's announced they will be leaving the Chicago market by January 2014. Sad day for us couponers!

Update

Hope everyone is doing some great couponing. I am sorry to tell everyone I will not be able to frequently update the deals in the coming next weeks, today my family got bad news that my husband's father's cancer has gotten worse. So the next few weeks we will be visiting and caring for my father-in-law in Ohio.
